Lytham Bierhaus Ltd in Lytham Saint Annes

"What a gem of a find! As a Northern German, I admit I had reservations when hearing about a new Bavarian Bierhaus in Lytham. However, this establishment surpassed all expectations. The selection of quality German, UK, and Belgian beers on tap was impressive. The food was exceptional, boasting authentic flavors and generous portions. The pork knuckles were massive, you might want to share, and the sauerkraut and cabbage were delightful with just the right amount of seasoning. The melt in the mouth potato mash with crispy onions was a lovely surprise, though I must admit, I’m biased when it comes to Bratkartoffeln as my grandmother’s were simply the best. We ended the meal with a heavenly Austrian dessert called Kaiserschmarrn. Overall, it was a delightful taste of home, and I’m looking forward to the Bierhaus’s future events. "Was looking for somewhere a bit different to have lunch while out in Lytham, and decided to try a German meal at this new restaurant. The server who greeted me was not only cheerful and friendly but also very knowledgeable, and he took the time to explain to me what the different dishes on the menu were, and to make recommendations. There's a charming little beer garden in front of the restaurant, and another at the back. Contemporary and stylish interior decor with exposed brick walls, wood burner, wooden barrels serving as tables (and bases for parasols), and a unique beer hall with church pews for seating. A very extensive drinks menu with a wide choice of German beers and lagers (and a few British and Belgian ones), and an excellent selection of wines from around the world. Opted for a half pint of Paulaner Helle lager, and it was really good! There was a brilliant choice of hearty German mains on the menu, and lighter options too, as well as a separate wurst menu. Had the wild boar and pork wurst, served with sauerkraut and a delicious potato salad made with gherkins, apple and onions. The portions were generous, the sausage was pleasantly spicy, and the whole meal was well prepared and presented. The sacher torte chocolate cake I had for afters was lovely, deliciously rich, and served with Chantilly cream. Nice latte to finish. Attentive service throughout the meal, and very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend!"

"We had the privilege to visit Bierhaus and be served by the general manager Chris and another lady unfortunately we didn’t catch her name. We had a 3 course meal. The starters and the main was perfection. The desert was divine. If you ever end up in lytham I highly recommend you give this restaurant a go, you will not be disappointed."

"Thought we’d try somewhere different, with a different vibe, yes it was very quiet when we visited but there was a lack of atmosphere, food was lovely, but service was a bit slow - looked like there was new staff, but they really didn’t know what to do - can imagine when it’s busy the pkace would be buzzing!"

"Stayed in an airbnb nearby. Went in on Christmas day. All the Belgian and German beers you could want. Staff were so friendly. Went back boxing day. New Thai kitchen was in. The food was amazing and again the service was impeccable. Welcoming for our dog and baby as well. 100% recommend"

"Amazing German Bavarian style food. Great authentic German beers are brilliant. I had the Bavarian style pork knuckle,this was the best meal I have had all year. Massive portions with a good selection of sides. Homemade gravy, all food made fresh. No additional seasoning needed, the chef is excellent. Come on an empty stomach as portions are big on the mains. They also do smaller bites as well. I will come again,just as good as the food in Germany."
